I took this photo of my feet at the Yoshida Shrine in Kyoto a couple of years ago. I posted it on Flickr with the title Fossilized Bigfoot Impressions. In the past few weeks that photo has been heavily linked to and visited by bigfoot enthusiasts debating whether or not they are actual fossilized bigfoot impression. Motherfuckers are retarded. I’ll admit a certain degree of ignorance; Yoshida is a Shinto shrine but the big ‘ol footprint is an old Buddhist thing. I’m not really sure how the Buddhist iconography ended up at a Shinto shrine but that particular shrine has been around for 1200 years so there is probably a lot about it that I can’t know. Anyway, I’m certain these things are not in any way related to any sort of gigantopithecus. So now you know.
